We’re Rafael + Pauahi, we like to live our lives by the beat of our own drums, whether that’s quitting our jobs to pursue this passion of ours over 7 years ago, or selling everything to move into a travel trailer and hit the road for 3 years, and now on our newest adventure, buying a 70’s A-Frame cabin in the Sierras and embracing our Mountain Era.
When we aren’t out documenting amazing love stories, we’re usually just at home editing, taking our doggies out on a hike or lake, enjoying a bottle of wine, or taking personal trips to our favorite places like Yosemite, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, or simply daydreaming of our big future plans to finally buy a ranch and start an animal sanctuary.
Over the years shooting 100s of weddings all over the country, we truly fell in love with the sense of adventure, intimacy, and uniqueness that Elopements bring. That’s why when it was time to for our own wedding there was no question that we were gonna Elope, and do it in our own unique way.
We’d be honored to help you dream up a day that is 100% YOU, to give you some guidance of the process, and of course be there to witness & document everything!

Not just your Photo+Video team, we can also help guide you through the elopement process
We understand that you’ve probably never eloped before, and for many of our couples we are the only vendor you are working with. But not to worry, we got you! On top of creating magic with our cameras, we can also help you in all the following ways:
DREAM: We are big dreamers by nature and love to help our couples think of ways to make their day special and personal.
LOCATION & TIME: Finding the perfect time & place to have your ceremony at your preferred level of accessibility / remoteness.
THE SCHEDULE: We’ll help you develop a timeline for your elopement day from getting dressed, to the ceremony and beyond, using our experience to account for travel & shooting times, and always always looking for the best lighting of course.
LEGAL: What permits do you need for this state park, or that national park? We can help gather all that info in a manner that is easy for you to apply at the right places and secure your location!
VENDORS: Do you want a designer to beautifully craft your ceremony space? Maybe a rad florist that can make a durable bouqet that will survive a good hike? We are well connected and know how and where to look for your elopement team!
