Learn More About Pauahi & Rafael
Hi there! We are Pauahi & Rafael, a husband-wife team currently based out of San Luis Obispo. We say currently because we actually live & work out of an RV that we use to travel and explore new places in our off season. We have two dogs, two cats, & two birds…yea pretty much a traveling zoo!
When we aren’t out documenting amazing love stories, we’re usually just at home editing, taking our doggies to the beach, surfing, enjoying a bottle of wine at the sand dunes, or taking personal trips to our favorite places like Yosemite, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, or simply daydreaming of our big future plans to finally buy a ranch and start an animal sanctuary.
Over the years, filming 100s of weddings all over the country, we truly fell in love with the sense of adventure, intimacy, and uniqueness that Elopements bring. That’s why when it was time to tie our own knot, there was no question that we were gonna Elope, and do it in our own unique way.
We’d be honored to help you dream up the Elopement day of YOUR dreams, to give you some guidance of the process, and of course be there to witness & document everything!
OUR ELOPEMENT PHILOSOPHY
We believe in the power of elopements & intimate weddings. Stripping away all that fluff and getting down to the core of what marriage is all about - two individuals promising to do this adventure we call life together. Your Elopement Photos + Video won't be "just as" beautiful & creative as other more traditional weddings, it will be MORE. When you take away all the fluff, we are left with a clean slate and the freedom to create something unique & special. We don't want to just "show up and shoot a short ceremony", we want connect with you on a human level, that connection allows us to create art that looks and feels unique to you. And chances are, if you are deciding to elope, we already have a lot in common!

Helping You Dream, Plan, & Document the Elopement of Your Dreams.
We understand that you’ve probably never eloped before, and for many of our couples we are the only vendor you are working with. But not to worry, we got you! On top of creating magic with our cameras, we can also help you in all these ways and more:
DREAM: We are big dreamers by nature and love to help our couples think of ways to make their day special and personal.
LOCATION & TIME: Finding the perfect time & place to have your ceremony at your preferred level of accessibility / remoteness. Shy is a master at e-location scouting, and we also offer physical location scouting!
THE SCHEDULE: We’ll help you develop a timeline for your elopement day from getting dressed, to the ceremony and beyond, using our experience to account for travel & shooting times, and always always looking for the best lighting of course.
LEGAL: What permits do you need for this state park, or that national park? We can help gather all that info in a manner that is easy for you to apply at the right places and secure your location!
VENDORS: Do you want a designer to beautifully craft your ceremony space? Maybe a rad florist that can make a durable bouqet that will survive a good hike? We are well connected and know how and where to look for your elopement team!
