Rainy Day Straus Home Ranch Wedding
Pure magic. That's what we felt both on the wedding day at Straus Home Ranch, and during their pre-shoot in Yosemite Valley... internally freaking out a little bit as we watched our camera screens and realized how epic, how beautiful these moments were. It's those times we just become very silent on the wedding day, as to not disturb what is unfolding.
"Rain or shine"
Water was a huge recurring theme throughout, and they completely embraced it. From getting absolutely soaked at the base of a massive waterfall, to Janelle reading her vows in the rain after the ceremony, the water just made everything so romantic, like straight out of an epic romance film. And we have to say that we loved how much Janelle & Piete both brought their own creative ideas and overall STOKE to the process. We were able to exchange ideas, and that poem they wanted to include perfectly tied the story together.

It’s even more beautiful during a sunny day when you can use the upper field for your ceremony, surrounded amongst towering eucalyptus and cypress trees, with spectacular water views, 166 acres of organic pastures and rolling hills, and their lovingly-restored 150-year-old farmhouse.
